So, we (my wife and I) just started Day 5 of our 10 day juice fast. She is finally starting to get some energy, but I have felt pretty good the whole time. It is typical when going through a juice fast that the first few days you will feel faint and hungry. The reason for this being that your body is experiencing heavy detoxing. Once you are fairly well detoxed, you will not feel the "hunger" or fatigue anymore. And, as I have mentioned before, you will begin to feel rejuvenated and even more amounts of energy than you have ever felt before.
I am pretty excited about the results that I am experiencing. I haven't weighed myself for the last two days, but I can definitely see a visual difference in my body. Last night we made a variation of a juice that we have done once before, and we really liked the way it turned out. I think I'll call this one the "Hawaiian Punch" juice.
Here is how you make it:
Juice the following using your slow juicer or whatever you have available:
1/2 Fresh Pineapple 10-15 Leaves Mint
1 Peeled Lime 2 Granny Smith Apples
Add juice blend to following in your VitaMix:
4 C Spinach Packed 2 C Ice
Blend and enjoy 2 large helpings of green drink!
